Carpenters Local 370

  1. The UBC has issued its 40th General Convention Call. The General Convention will be held on August 16th 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada and continue until the business at the convention is completed. Local 370 is eligible to send 4 Delegates to the convention. Local 370 will also be sending 2 Alternative Delegates.

  2. Nominations for Delegates to the General Convention were held on Monday February 8th 2010 at 5pm at the labor Temple.

  3. Elections for Delegates were held on Monday March 8th 2010 between the hours of 4:30pm and 7:00pm at the Labor Temple, 890 3rd St. Albany, New York 12206.

  4. The follow four delegates were elected to represent Local 370 at the General Convention: Dave Moak, Doug Blacklock, Mark Sowalski and Mike Shanahan. The two alternative delegates are Jim Standhart and Chris Dugan.

  5. Union Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month, 5pm at the Labor Temple which is located at 890 Third St in Albany. All members are encouraged attend. Please make sure you dues are current as members in arrears will not be admitted.

  6. It is more important now than ever to protect our work. Every hour lost is an hour that is needed by a fellow brother. If your superintendent or foreman is giving away our work please notify one of your council representatives immediately.

  7. The Council Benefits website is currently being upgraded to include more detailed and updated information regarding your benefits. As always questions regarding your benefits should be referred to the funds office.

  8. If you are not receiving your vouchers or have questions as to whether or not your benefits have been paid please let us know as soon as possible.

  9. If you see a non union job or if there are non union carpenters or contractors working on your job,
    please contact us and let us know.

  10. Anyone who has pictures of any events, members or construction projects
    is encouraged to contact the webmaster.
